Gochujang Baked Chicken

  • 2 chicken legs also works with thighs, drumsticks or wings
  • 40 ml soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp gochujang
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 3 cm ginger peeled
  • 2 cloves garlic peeled
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper ground
  • 1 tsp seasame seeds


  • Add all the ingredients apart from the chicken legs and the seasame seeds to a food processor and blend until smooth to make the marinade. Rub the marinade into the chicken legs and leave for at least 1 hour.
  • Pre-heat the oven to 200C/180C fan, place the chicken legs in a roasting tray and bake for 1 hour basting every 20 minutes with the released juices. Once cooked garnish with the sesame seeds and then serve.
